Privacy Policy — Haunt

Haunt respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app processes.

Data we collect

Haunt has no account and no user profile. Your content and settings stay on your device, except for two cases that you control: anonymous crash/diagnostic reports (see "Crash & diagnostics"), and — only when you leave AI generation or personalised voice enabled — the scene context and name we need to generate your experience in real time (see "AI scene generation & voice"). We never track you or share your data for advertising.

• Your name and preferences (theme, duration, sound/jump-scare settings) are stored ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE. Your name is sent to our server only if you keep AI generation / personalised voice on (see below); otherwise it never leaves your phone.
• Your Philips Hue bridge keys are kept encrypted in your device's secure Keychain; they never reach us.
• We do not track. There is no advertising identifier, no analytics profiling and no third-party tracking.

Crash & diagnostics

To keep Haunt stable, the app sends anonymous crash and performance reports (via Sentry) when something goes wrong. These contain technical details only — device model, OS version, app version and a stack trace — with no personal data. This data is not linked to your identity and is never used for tracking or advertising. It is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs. Over the same anonymous channel we also mark fixed steps (e.g. "onboarding done", "scenario published") so we can see where the product stalls — step name and time only; never your name, device identity or scenario content.

AI scene generation & voice (optional)

Haunt can generate a personalised horror scene and speak whispers in your name. Both AI generation and personalised voice are on by default, and you can turn either off at any time in Settings.

When these features are enabled, and only while a session is being prepared or played, the app sends the following to our own server (`haunt-api.luna-gipsy.com`) over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection:

• The name you entered — embedded in the whispered lines so the voice can address you by name.
• Your room and light names, and their layout/positions in your home (e.g. "living room", "hallway lamp").
• Your theme and intensity settings and the session duration.

This information is used solely to generate the scene and the whispered audio for you in real time. It is processed to fulfil your request and then discarded. It is not used to build a profile, is not linked to your identity (Haunt has no account and no login), is not shared with any third party for advertising, and is never used for tracking.

If you turn AI generation and voice off in Settings, nothing leaves your device for these features — the experience is assembled entirely on your phone.

Deleting your data

You can delete all local data at any time via Settings → Legal & About → "Reset All Data". Since you have no data in the cloud, there is no remote data to delete.

Website measurement (not the app)

On haunt.luna-gipsy.com we keep anonymous aggregate counters so we can tell which promotion channel brings visitors: page views, store-button taps, a channel label (e.g. "instagram"), platform (iOS/Android/web) and language. No cookies, no persistent identifier, no IP address or browser fingerprint stored, no profiling, no third-party analytics service. The session label disappears when the tab closes. If your browser sends "Do Not Track", no events are sent at all. The app itself contains no channel measurement; it only sends the anonymous crash/diagnostic and personal-data-free usage-step events described below.
